Proposal

For my next paper, I would like to explore the television series Sons of Anarchy and look at how it represents criminals. Sons of Anarchy was on FX from September 3, 2008 to December 9, 2014, and had become one of FX’s most popular shows. The show is about
Jackson, Jax, Teller, who is the Vice President of the club, the son of one of the co-founders and first President of the club John Teller, and is the stepson of the current President, Clay Morrow. The show starts out with Jackson ex-wife Wendy is pregnant with their son, Abel, though Wendy is addicted to heroin, and Abel is born early. While going through the storage locker Jackson finds a book written by his father, and what the original idea for the club was, which was non-outlaw. The story is Jackson trying to get the club back to that, though with every move he makes it seems to take him four steps back, as he wants to be non-outlaw, but keeps acting like an outlaw instead. The show really dives deep into the life a criminal, and the Sons of Anarchy club is not the only criminal group in the show, there two other motorcycle clubs, the Mayans, and the Grim Bastards, then there are the Russians, the Chinese, the real IRA, Neo Nazi, other White Supremacist groups, and law enforcement isn’t all that good either. So there are a number of examples of people competing crimes, from murder, making and selling drugs, holding and selling illegal guns, kidnap, and that’s just the start of it. So as you can see there is a lot to work with from Sons of Anarchy because there are a number of criminal actions going on throughout the show. Also the shows has four people who were in the real life Hell’s Angel motorcycle club, so they had real life criminal working with them to help them out on the show. So as you can see this idea can and will work, the Sons of Anarchy club has a lot by themselves, so I will not having problems what so ever. That is my idea for my next paper.
